Jenny Q is a Palestinian herbalist, writer, and cellist. She was born and raised in America, and studied environmental education, therapeutic herbalism, and nursing. After exploring many heart-homes, she settled in the tight-knit community of Joshua Tree, California. There  she opened the local apothecary, Grateful Desert, and experienced the story told in Held Together. 

She now lives with her wife, Myshkin, and her daughter, Yasmin, in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. She manages Cone House projects, creates essential oil goods for Thistle & Bog, plays cello in Myshkin's Ruby Warblers, and is working on her second book.
